Terms of use

Using Murmurhouse
You may use the free version of Murmurhouse for personal and commercial work at no cost. Transcripts you create belong to you. Please only transcribe recordings you have the right to use, and ask people before recording them.
Murmurhouse Pro
Pro is not on sale yet. When it launches it will be a one-time purchase for one person’s own devices, and these terms will be updated with the details and the refund policy before any sale.
Accuracy
Transcripts are produced automatically and can contain mistakes, especially with noise, accents or overlapping speech. Check anything important, such as names, numbers and quotes, before you rely on it.
Your files
Your recordings and transcripts are stored only in your own browser. Browsers can delete stored data, for example when you clear site data or use a private window. Download anything you want to keep.
No warranty
Murmurhouse is provided as it is. We work hard to make it reliable but cannot promise it will be free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
Open-source parts
Murmurhouse uses OpenAI’s Whisper models (MIT license) through Transformers.js and ONNX Runtime (Apache 2.0 and MIT licenses).
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg.
